BLUE STRAIT

Using the home of my long-time friend Stephen Taylor as my set, Steve, John Manno and I improvised a film centering on the break up of a middle-aged gay couple's relationship. The film is really a tone-poem encircling this subject. The "story" is of minor importance, rather the ambience and setting take precedence. As a filmmaker I am very very tired of "stories" as normally shown in the cinema - in fact I can no longer watch such films at all, no matter how well done. I am trying to find other means, visual and aural, to evoke human behaviors and responses and to elicit emotional responses.
